Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Partnering With the Pink Ribbon Girls
Breast Cancer Awareness in October is traditionally a time to “go pink.” A time for people and businesses to rally and raise funds. It is a time to acknowledge and support that 8th person that is personally affected by one of the most common cancers found in our mothers, wives, sisters, and friends.
However, 2020 has brought on a pandemic that has put a damper on all of the events that bring people together in support and solidarity. The majority of walks and fundraisers have been canceled for non-profits to raise money, making their resources more strapped to provide support for patients.
Despite the pandemic, this October, D9 Technologies has partnered with the Pink Ribbon Girls in helping support their cause of empowering others who are currently in the fight against breast and gynecological cancers.
All donations received go directly to those in need in the communities where donated. PRG serves those with any stage of cancer. There are no age restrictions and no income restrictions. The services that Pink Ribbon Girls provide are invaluable:
- Healthy Meals – Meals which target the nutrients a cancer patient needs, prepared by executive chefs and professionally delivered to your home
- Housecleaning – Provided by professional, bonded, and insured cleaning services
- Rides to Treatment – Provided by trained transportation specialists
- Peer Support – Offering support needed in the community patients, live in
In 2019, Pink Ribbon Girls provided 108,576 meals, 2,420 house cleanings, and 6,872 rides to treatment. These programs and services are only possible through funds donated by individuals, corporate sponsors, Pink Truck sponsors, and memorable 3rd party events.
D9 will be hosting a 3rd party event, Food Truck Friday, on October 30th, 2020, to raise additional funds for PRG and their cause.
